Raniganj

The films of Akshay kumar coming every month in cinema halls can hardly create hype for a talented star like him.

 

Raniganz is caricature of true event that took place in 1989 , a coal mine at the Mahavir colliery in Raniganj, West Bengal was flooded and 71 miners were trapped and rescue mission was carried out by Senior Engineer Jaswant Gill with wit and exemplary valour, along with his bunch of valiant experts rescued 65 miners. one by one through the innovative capsule.

Akshay kumar shines here and has played his role with so much intricacies , his humble and self assured persona is very impressive just like he did in film airlift .

Kumud mishra has also done his job effectively. Parineeta Chopra has a very short appearance and fails to make any impact. Ravi Kishan’s dialogue is too theatrical to make an impression.

The director Tinu Suresh Desai could have put more effort to make the film unforgettable. The problem lies in execution , camerawork and editing done hurriedly. His film is very loud and melodramatic to bring out emotion and leaves the audience indifferent towards such miss-fortunate effort .

Amitab Bacchan starrer film kala pathar can emote more than Raniganj.
Despite all its fault , film Raniganj is a audience engaging film.

Here's my take on the 2025 live-action adaptation of Snow White. Basic premise of the film: The 2025 live-action adaptation of Snow White is a musical fantasy film that recreates  the classic fairy tale.
